Capturing the real shit. No fake laughing allowed. I feel like that sums it up for the most part, but I should tell you a little bit more. I’m about you doing things your way. Whether you want to climb mountains and eat doughnuts in the dirt, get married in an old church, or meet somewhere in the middle, your wedding should happen exactly how you want it to. Nothing should feel fake or forced. You shouldn’t feel like you’re doing things because it’s what you’re “supposed” to do. And, for the love of all things good in this world, you should never be asked to fake laugh when literally nothing is funny. Every photo I take will reflect a real moment, not one that I created for the sake of my portfolio. Every laugh I capture on camera will be a real one, whether the result of one of my bad jokes or at something your S.O. said.

who i am

Your neighborhood extrovert, recovering workaholic, & resident wine mom (not actually a mom, had to clarify). I like long nights on my couch spent watching stand-up comedy specials on Netflix, and I hit up BJ’s happy hours more than I’d like to admit. You just can’t beat chips, salsa, & beer for seven bucks, ya know?

When I’m not sitting at my computer like the hunchback of Notre Dame or shooting (obviously), you can probably find me at one of three places: the local Starbucks, my parents’ house, or on a plane. Here’s the thing, I can’t say no to a nitro cold brew. I just can’t. Second thing, my parents are the bomb. Julie makes great pumpkin cookies, and Dave’ll never say no to an afternoon poke bowl. Last thing, I wouldn’t be a hip & cool photographer if I didn’t like to travel, right?! So cash me on a plane how bout dahhhhh ;)

Q & A

We’re so awkward in front of the camera. Is that alright?

That’s more than alright. I don’t think I’ve ever had a session with anyone that didn’t start with them saying, “Good luck, we’re really awkward”. Most people don’t spend their days getting photos taken of themselves, so no sweat.

Where are you located? And, what does it mean that you’re available ‘everywhere’?

It’s hard for me to nail down one spot that I’m located, if I’m being honest. I pay rent in Long Beach, grew up in South Orange County, and spend about 1/4 of my time in Bakersfield (that’s where my boyfriend lives). When I say I’m available everywhere, I mean that I’m down to travel to wherever you are. Be that the middle of Alaska or the mountains of Nepal or the fields of Nebraska or anywhere in between. There may be a small travel fee depending on where I’m headed; just get in touch for an exact quote.

Will I receive all of the photos that are taken?

Basically, YES. I never put a cap on how many edited photos I deliver. Ever. The only photos I’ll exclude are the blurry ones, the duplicates, and the unflattering mid-sneeze, mid-blink shots.

How long will it take to receive the photos?

For weddings + elopements, you can expect to receive a preview gallery within 24 hours and your full gallery within 30 days. For all other sessions (i.e. engagement sessions), you can expect to receive your edited photos within 10 days. You’re excited to get these photos; I’m excited to get them to you.

Do you only shoot weddings, elopements, + couple photos?

No way! While I absolutely love all of my weddings, elopements, and couple shoots, I also love “portrait” work! Bring all the graduates, families, and lifestyle shoots my way, too. Please + thank you.

Do you have set wedding collection prices?

Nope! I hate the one-size-fits-all idea when it comes to clothing, and I don’t like it when it comes to wedding collections either. Every couple and every wedding day is different, so each wedding collection is customized to you!

Do you require a retainer for weddings?

Yep! In order to reserve your wedding date on my calendar, I require a 40% retainer (40% of your total wedding collection cost) along with a signed contract. The remaining 60% is due 30 days before your wedding day.

How do you accept payment?

I accept debit/credit card payment via Square! Once we have a date/time picked out for you, I’ll email you an online invoice. You’ll click the button to pay, enter your payment info, submit, and we’ll be set! If you’d rather pay by check, let me know & we can definitely work that out!

Do you sell prints?

I do! I work with the best professional lab. The quality of their prints is the best, and they have super quick turnaround times (I’m all about that). Looking for an album? I sell those, too. I make sure all your resolutions are correct, no arms are cut off in weird places, all that jazz.

Liz, what about my massive family? Will you be able to get pictures of all of them?

3 weeks before your wedding, I’ll ask you to provide me with a ‘Shot List’ of all the family and combinations of family you want photos with (i.e. bride with Grandma P., bride & groom with Grandma P., whole family photo with Grandma P., etc.). I’ll need help IDing people for photos, but as long as we have that shot list and everyone’s cooperative, we shouldn’t miss anyone!

What are you gonna be like during our reception?

What am I gonna be like? I’ll be like your favorite guest. I’ll hype you up, I’ll hype your friends up, I’ll even hype your grandma up. I’ll be on that dance floor with you (that’s how you get the best dancing shots)! And, I’ll definitely be encouraging you to take that tequila shot with your old college roommate. Maybe I’ll even take a tequila shot with you?!

Wow, you sound so fun + cool + hip. We love your photos and want to book you. How??

Aw bb, you flatter me. Head to my Contact page, let’s get to chatting, and then I’ll send you a few different collections. Once you decide on one that you like, send me an email saying, “Hey whassup we wanna go with Collection __”. I’ll email over that online invoice and contract. You’ll pay that. You’ll sign that. Your date will officially be booked. I’ll send you GIFs and memes to celebrate. Let’s go grab a coffee or a beer, too???
